Europe: private equity industry major challenges 2023

In the last quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, private equity firms were asked which key issues the private equity (PE) industry in Europe would face over the course of the next five years. Majority of respondents stated that the economic consequences of COVID-19 on portfolios and deal flow was the most important key issue the European PE industry will face in the next five years. A total of 21 percent of respondents ranked this key issue under "medium importance" and 12 percent ranked it under "least important."
