This statistic shows the total value in assets of equity and shares from financial corporations in the Netherlands from 2006 to 2016 (in million euros). In 2016, equity and shares from Dutch financial corporations had a value of 4,637.8 billion euros. This is an increase from the 4,374 billion euros reached in 2015 and the highest numbers since 2006.

The source adds the following information: "equity and investment fund shares or units are claims, which are -fully, or partly- entitled to a share in profits or in the own funds in case of liquidation. Included is the value of capital formation by the government in public enterprises (quasi-corporations) that belong to the government."

The source states that there has been a revision in the calculation of assets for financial corporations. The numbers from 2008 and later have been calculated using this revision. The results from 2005 to 2007 are unchanged.
