Avianca: passenger traffic 2011-2020
The number of air passengers transported by Avianca airlines plunged in 2020 by more than 70 percent, reflecting the severe crisis of the global airline industry caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the previous two years, Colombia's flag carrier had surpassed 30 million passengers transported, reaching the highest number of the past decade.
