This statistic displays the offshore oil production worldwide from 2005 to 2015, based on water depth. In 2015, there were 18.1 million barrels of oil per day produced worldwide from offshore oil sources up to 125 meters deep (shelf sources). A further 7.8 million barrels of oil per day were produced from deepwater sources (125 to 1,500 meters deep), and 1.5 million barrels of oil per day were produced from ultra deepwater sources (with a depth greater than 1,500 meters).
