This statistic compares the carbon dioxide emissions of selected original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and vehicle brands in Europe in 2012, in grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer, with targeted values for the year 2020. In the year 2012 ,Mercedes vehicles had carbon dioxide emissions of 148 grams per kilometer, but this is expected to fall by 28 percent to 101 grams per kilometer in the year 2020.
