British Gas is by far the largest supplier of natural gas for domestic consumers in Great Britain. As of the fourth quarter of 2022, it held a market share of roughly 27.6 percent. It almost doubled the market share of its nearest competitor - E.ON. The so called 'Big Six' energy supply companies in the United Kingdom combine 70 percent of the total market share.
