Norwegian fishery industry
Fishery has always been an industry of high importance for Norway. The country benefits from its long coastline, which provides best conditions for the domestic fish industry. Especially salmon farming is very common. It is the number one farmed animal in Norway, reaching a sales volume of roughly 1.2 million metric tons in 2017.
