Number of reported terrain collisions involving RPAS Australia 2012-2016 by mass
This statistic depicts the number of reported collisions with terrain involving remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) in Australia between 2012 and 2016, by weight of the RPAS. During that time period, around 12 terrain collisions involving RPAS with a weight between 7.5 and 15 kilograms were reported in Australia. The most common mass of RPAS involved in terrain collisions was 2.9 kilograms in around 21 percent of occurrences. The average mass of RPAS involved in terrain collisions was 7.1 kilograms.
