Belgium: leading road transport & logistic companies, by turnover 2017

As of 2017, H.Essers generated the most revenue with a turnover of approximately 225 million euros. The turnover of Sarens amounted to a little less than 130 million euros, whereas Jos Group completed the top three with roughly 89 million euros. Deutsche Bahn, a German transport company, generated approximately 37 million euros in Belgium.

The source adds: turnover based on the added value of transport companies. This is the turnover minus the purchase invoice and the several products and services. Furthermore, the companies need to have a Belgian transport license, minimum of an owned truck and taking care of transport for third parties.
