Deaths from chronic liver diseases in Spain 2005-2022, by gender
In 2022, the number of deaths from chronic liver diseases and cirrhosis in Spain reached around 4,500 cases, a decrease compared to the previous year. These diseases affecting liver function were more prevalent among men than women throughout the analyzed period. As of the last featured year, approximately 3,300 men and about 1,200 women died from chronic liver diseases and cirrhosis in the European country.
