Places in accommodation and home care for seniors France 2020

Advances in medicine have increased the life expectancy of individuals who now live longer and older. The aging of the population has brought with it new needs, especially among the elderly. This is why it has been crucial to providing appropriate care facilities in France. In 2020, there were 594,036 places in retirement homes on the French territory. The autonomy residences accounted for more than 119,000 places in the same year.
