Data privacy concerns when using retail apps in the United Kingdom (UK) 2017, by age
This statistic shows the results of a survey published in January 2017 in which respondents in the United Kingdom (UK) were asked about providing information to retailers via apps. Respondents in all age groups said they did not like the idea of stores retaining information about them, such as their shopping habits and previous purchases. The level of concern for this issue is shown to increase with age, with 44 percent of those aged 65 and above saying they were worried about sharing information, compared to 28 percent of 18 to 24 year olds.
