Percentage of urban population exposed to O3 pollutants in Europe 2000-2016

This graph shows the percentage of the European urban population that were exposed to O3 pollutant concentrations above the regulated threshold from 2000 to 2016. Exposure peaked in 2003 with 55 percent of the European urban population exposed to O3 pollution. From 2008 to 2014 the percentage did not go above 20 percent. However, in 2015 the percentage of affected urban population increased to around 30 percent.
