In 2021, the macro-regions that registered the highest cancer mortality rate among individuals aged between 20 to 64 years in Italy was the South and the Islands. In this area, in fact, 8.6 and 8.8 people died of tumor every 10 thousand residents, respectively. On the other hand, the North-East registered a much smaller mortality rate, equal to seven deaths every 10 thousand inhabitants.
