Post-Maria Puerto Rican student enrollment in Florida 2017
This table presents the post-Hurricane-Maria increase in Puerto Rican student enrollment in Florida school districts as of December 2017. In the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, thousands of Puerto Ricans migrated to neighboring Florida, where Puerto Rican student enrollment increased by 4.9 percent statewise compared to its 2015 level. In counties such as Orange or Osceola, the increase was 7.2 and 9.8 percent respectively.
