Number of people with home office in the Netherlands 2013-2020
Roughly 3.7 million people in the Netherlands did some or all of their work on their main job at home in 2020, an increase compared to 2019. Telecommuting as a term does not exist in the Netherlands. Instead, the term more often referred to is thuiswerkers(which roughly translates to "home office workers" in English). Employees made up roughly 2.7 million of the 3.7 million telecommuters.
