Latin America: female engagement in early-stage startups 2018

In 2018, Guatemala was found to be one of the Latin American countries with the highest female early-stage entrepreneurship activity (TEA) in Latin America. Among the nine countries from this region included in the study, Guatemala had the highest share of women starting up or running their own business: up to 24.5 percent of Guatemalan women were in the first 3.5 years of founding their own company.
