Latin America: busiest airports 2017

In 2017, the Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX) was the busiest airport in Latin America, serving 44.7 million passangers. The São Paulo/Guarulhos–Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport (GRU) ranked second, with over 38 million passengers handled. São Paulo was also second largest Latin American airport by cargo throughput, having handled 543.3 thousand tons of cargo in 2017.
