Italy: regional councilors' opinion on health care efficiency measures 2016, by area
This statistic depicts the results of a survey on the possible measures to address the regional differences in health care in Italy in 2016. The survey highlighted the strong differences in opinion among the regional councilors of Northern and Southern Italy. While nearly seven in ten respondents of the North endorsed a carrot and stick approach to increase health care efficiency, only 24 percent of respondents from the South shared this opinion. In fact, 76 percent of the interviewed regional councilors from the South believed that the most inefficient regions should be helped financially.
