Participation in health or medical checkups Japan 2019, by gender and age group
In 2019, people in Japan aged 50 to 59 years old recorded the highest share of individuals who participated in preventive health checkups, with almost 81 percent of men and around 73 percent of women. By contrast, only 56 percent of men and about 52 percent of women aged 80 years and older received health or medical checkups in that same year.
