Health spending in Suriname as share of GDP 2010-2021
Suriname's healthcare expenditure represented approximately five percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021. During the period analyzed, this figured ranged from the equivalent of four to nine percent of the country's GDP. In comparison, that year Cuba's healthcare spending corresponded to 14 percent of its GDP, the highest value reported among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
