Public health expenditure as a share of regional GDPs in Italy 2021
According to the data, Sicily, Molise, and Calabria were the Italian regions where the public health spending had the greatest incidence on the local GDP in 2021. Lombardy, instead, was the region with the lowest percentage of regional GDP allocated for health services. In general, it appeared that Southern regions allocated a much greater share of their regional GDP to public health spending compared to Northern regions.
