Deaths caused by myelodysplastic syndrome in Spain 2005-2022, by gender
The number of deaths caused by myelodysplastic syndrome in Spain saw an overall upward trend for both men and women between 2005 and 2022. In the last year featured, the European country reported 1,126 fatal cases due to the disease, affecting 658 men and 468 women. The myelodysplastic syndrome caused more deaths among men than women in Spain throughout the analyzed period.
