Share of overweight male adults in Japan 2010-2019
As of November 2019, approximately 33 percent of male adults in Japan aged 20 years and older were overweight according to the body max index (BMI) classification, an increase from around 31.6 percent in the previous year. About 22.3 percent of Japanese women were classified as overweight, as revealed in the same survey.
