ScottishPower’s road to 100% renewable energy
As of 2020, 2.7 million electricity customers were serviced by ScottishPower. However, figures have been steadily declining since 2014. Its distribution network includes Central and Southern Scotland, North Wales, and a few counties in England.In October 2018, ScottishPower completed sales of its last remaining gas plant, thus becoming one hundred percent reliant of renewable energy sources. In the two following fiscal years, ScottishPower’s revenues had increased to over five billion British pounds. Also in 2020, ScottishPower’s net profits reached 585.3 million British pounds.
