TikTok: content removal requests from government bodies H1 2023, by country
Between January and the end of June, 2023, Russian government bodies submitted 2,296 content removal requests to TikTok, while authorities in Bangladesh submitted almost 1,046 removal requests. In total, courts submitted 8,326 removal requests to the video-sharing platform. During the measured period, 77 countries submitted content and account removal requests to TikTok.
