Reasons U.S. veterans with the WWP use VA as their primary care provider 2018-2020
Of the veterans and active duty service members who reported to the annual Wounded Warrior Project Survey that they use VA as their primary health care provider, the most common reasons given from 2018 to 2020 were that they can get care for a service-connected disability, and that they are entitled to it. The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a U.S. charity and veteran organization for veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001. This statistic shows the percentage of U.S. veteran and active service members of the WWP who used the VA as their primary health care provider for select reasons in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
