The largest group of people who received family immigration permits in Norway in 2022 were spouses or partners of Norwegian citizens. Nearly half of all granted family immigration permits were given to spouses of or partners to Norwegians in 2022, amounting to 5,800 people. With 3,900 permits, children of Norwegian citizens came in second in the ranking, while parents received 357 permits the same year.
