In 2022-2023, the number of non-teaching school personnel employed by the French national education system comprised almost 340,000 people. This figure represents an increase in comparison to 13 years before, as the number of non-teaching employees amounted to nearly 225,000 people in 2008. The non-teaching staff of the French national education system comprises employees working in administrative, technical, managerial and supervisory fields.
