Expected change in business travel spending over pre-pandemic levels in Europe 2022
A September 2021 study on European business travel buyers analyzed the expected change in business tourism spending in 2022. According to the survey, 82 percent of respondents thought that the expenditure would decrease in 2022 compared to pre-pandemic levels. Meanwhile, only nine percent of the survey sample predicted a rise in business travel spending over pre-pandemic levels.
