Early leavers from education and training in Iceland 2011-2021, by country of birth
The share of people between 18 and 24 years of age leaving education and training early in Iceland between 2011 and 2021 was higher among the foreign-born population than among the local-born. Both groups had their highest values in 2018, 20 percent of the people born in Iceland and over 30 percent of the people born outside. In 2021, the share of foreign-born in Iceland leaving early from education and training was 20 percent, compared to 13 percent among the local-born.
