Estimated emissions released by leading couriers in the UK during Black Friday 2020
In 2020, Hermes was estimated to release 58,313 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) from delivering parcels, making it the most polluting delivery company during Black Friday in the United Kingdom (UK) 2020. Dynamic Parcel Distribution (DPD) was projected to be the second-largest producer of CO2 emissions with 41,952 tons of carbon being pumped out into the atmosphere.
