Argentina: open unemployment rate by age 2022

Between 2000 and 2022, the youngest cohorts of the urban economically active population in Argentina had the highest unemployment rates. In the case of people whose age ranged from 15 to 24 years old, the unemployment rate stood at 19.9 percent in 2021, falling from 30.4 percent a year earlier. By contrast, among those aged 45 years and older, the urban open unemployment rate was 3.4 percent in 2021. Argentinians with more years of schooling also have the lowest open unemployment rate.
