Portugal: probability of using hybrid or electric cars to save energy

Around 27 percent of Portuguese respondents to an October 2022 survey considered the use of electric or hybrid vehicles to save energy as very or somewhat likely. This was three percent below the share of participants reporting this energy saving solution was not at all likely. Electricity prices in Portugal have shot up in summer 2022, with an inflation rate of 35.6 percent in July of that year

Original survey question: "I will read some solutions that aim to save energy and for each one of them I will want to know, what is the probability of investing in that solution..."
The question included seven different types of solutions and asked respondents to grade the probability of using these solutions on a scale from one to five, with five being the highest probability and one being the lowest.

The source specifies that the total sample is representative of the population and is stratified by district, gender, and age. It has an associated maximum error of +/- 3.1 percentage points for a 95 percent confidence interval.
