In 2022, audio streaming accounted for the highest share of weekly music consumption in India at 25.8 percent. This was followed by video streaming at just under 19 percent. It was also worth noting that over seven percent of time spent listening to music was in the form of music piracy, a long-standing hindrance within the music industry. Indian listeners spent an average of 25.7 hours a week listening to music that year.
