Moderate or severe food insecurity prevalence in Uruguay 2018-2022, by gender
Between 2018 to 2020 and 2020 to 2022, the prevalence of moderate or severe food insecurity increased in Uruguay. However, while this indicator has stayed around 12 percent for men, the female population in Uruguay experienced a 2.3 percent increase in food insecurity, reaching 18.2 percent between 2020 and 2022.
