Preferred functions of window air conditioners South Korea 2022-2023

As of June 2023, around 46 percent of window air conditioner (AC) units sold in South Korea included a left/right wind mode function. Another prevalent feature was the power cooling function. In recent years, sales of window ACs have increased, and more companies are producing their own models. This rise in demand can be attributed to the fact that single households are becoming more prevalent in South Korea. Additionally, with a significant share of the population living in rented apartments, installing AC units can become a complicated task. Amidst rising electricity prices, more and more consumers are turning towards the relatively less complicated option of window ACs.
