According to a survey conducted in May 2023 in Japan, the leading reason to postpone or cancel international leisure trips was the feeling that travel abroad is expensive due to increasing global prices and the weak Japanese yen. Compared to previous surveys, concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic were lower.
