Impact of low-cost AVOD services on current streaming subscribers in Belgium 2023
As more and more ad-supported streaming offers are flooding the video streaming market, the possibility of signing up for cheaper tiers is ubiquitous. One in four streaming subscribers to a 2023 survey in Belgium would switch to an ad-supported platform at a reduced price, while eight percent of customers would even cancel their streaming subscription. The share of respondents who would switch or cancel for an entirely free-of-cost AVOD service was even higher.
