As of January 2024, the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, India, stands as the most valuable public monument constructed in the country. The total project cost for the monument was estimated to be around 29.89 billion Indian rupees. In contrast, the total government spending for the new parliament building exceeded eight billion rupees.
