Quarterly CET1 ratio of the banking industry in Portugal 2014-2023
The common equity tier 1 (CET1) ratio of the banking industry in Portugal, a key measure of a bank's financial strength and capital adequacy, presented an increasing trend between 2014 and 2023. Starting at 11.29 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014, it reached its peak at 16.43 percent in the second quarter of 2023. As of the third quarter of 2023, the CET1 ratio of the banking industry was 16.39 percent.
