Share of foreign direct investment in Mexico 2021, by sector
As 2023, the sector attracting the largest volume of foreign direct investments (FDI) in Mexico was the manufacturing industry, which, with a total of 9.9 billion U.S. dollars, accounted for nearly 53 percent of all the investments received by the North American country. FDI targeting financial and insurance services came in second, with 32.43 percent of the total investment value.
