Originally known as the UEFA Cup, the UEFA Europa League represents European soccer’s second-tier cup competition behind the UEFA Champions League. Having incorporated competitions such as the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Intertoto Cup, the current format sees 32 teams competing in the final tournament, with the winners qualifying for the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup in the following season. The current champions are Sevilla, who defeated AS Roma on penalties in the 2022/23 final.

Which team has won the most Europa League titles?

When looking at the clubs with the most Europa League titles, one team in particular stands out. Sevilla FC has won seven Europa League titles, more than any other club in Europe. Meanwhile, the club with the most games played in the Europa League, Sporting Lisbon, has never won the competition. In the all-time table of the Europa League, Inter ranks highest, with a total of 236 points won.

How much revenue does the Europa League generate?

While not generating the level of revenue that the Champions League makes, the Europa League still represents a significant source of income for UEFA. In 2022/23, the combined revenue of the Europa League and Conference League amounted to over 481 million euros, with the former presumably making up the larger share of this total. Of this amount, just under 400 million euros came from Europa League and Conference League broadcasting rights, with both competitions watched all over the world.
