In 2022, China's e-commerce giant JD.com reported a GMV of 379.3 billion yuan during the 618 shopping festival that year, which increased by about 36 billion yuan compared to the previous year. The 618 shopping festival is the second largest online sales event next to Single's Day sales in China.
