India: approved guarantees within CGTMSE fund 2022

In financial year 2022, nearly 2.3 million credit guarantees worth around 579 billion Indian rupees were approved by the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) in India. This was an increase compared to 383.9 billion rupees in the previous year.
CGTMSE is a joint initiative by the Government of India and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) which started in 2001. 115 financial institutions were member lending institutions of the trust at the end of financial year 2020.
