States with highest share of MSME in India 2023

As of February 2023, Maharashtra held 18.71 percent of share of medium, small and micro enterprises in India. It was followed by Tamil Nadu with more than 10 percent share. The Ministry of MSMEs runs various schemes to provide credit and financial assistance to MSMEs. The central government has also initiated schemes targeting the northeastern states of India.
