Nigeria: unemployed population by gender

In 2020, the unemployed male population in Nigeria was estimated at around 3.69 million. On the other hand, the female population without any form of employment was lower, some 2.36 million people. The number of people of working age who are not in employment has increased considerably in Nigeria since 2010. That year, unemployed men and women added up to around 1.1 million and 930,000, respectively.
