Share of public investment storage and transportation in Egypt 2020/2021, by sector
Most investments in the transportation and storage sector were conducted via the public sector. As of 2020/2021, 89 percent of the total investments in the industry came from the government. On the other hand, the remaining 11 percent were private investment.
Furthermore, the transportation and storage industry investments aggregated 128.3 billion Egyptian pounds (4.15 billion U.S. dollars) as of the same year. This was lower than in 2021/2022, when investments reached 184.2 billion Egyptian pounds (5.96 billion U.S. dollars).
