Challenge Cup: attendance at finals 2023

In 2023, the Challenge Cup final was contested by Leigh Leopards and Hull KR and attracted a crowd of nearly 60 thousand attendees. While this was an increase over the previous two years, it continued a general trend of decline from the previous decade. Since 1996, the Challenge Cup final with the highest attendance came in the 2010 final between Warrington Wolves and Leeds Rhinos, which the Wire won 30 points to six.

Traditionally, the Challenge Cup final is held at Wembley Stadium in London. However, between 1996 and 2023, the final was also held intermittently at other venues in the British capital - Twickenham and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - as well as Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
