Individuals using intercessions to skip health waiting lists in Italy 2018, by area
In 2018, around 24 percent of Italians reported having resort to intercessions to skip health services waiting lists. This statistic breaks down this figure by geographic area of residence of the respondents. According to data, this habit was clearly more common among people living in the South and in the Islands than among individuals from the rest of Italy. The Center was the area with the lowest share of people declaring they used their network of acquaintances to skip the waiting list for a healthcare service over the year preceding the interview.
